At One Contracts, we’re committed to providing a fully sustainable and premium turnkey service that includes environmentally friendly manufacturing processes and sustainably sourced materials.
Working towards the ‘Zero Waste to Landfill’ initiative, we don’t just look at our supply chain, we’ve transformed the way we fabricate our contract-grade furniture to substantially reduce waste.
Our priority is to invest in innovative machinery to achieve an end-to-end wood recycling process, helping to regenerate the environment. We use a wood shredder and briquette system to break down and compress off-cuts such as wood shavings, sawdust, wood chips and dust into stable, cylindrical briquettes. To reduce waste-to-landfill further, we then use the briquettes to heat our facility.
TIMBER
Timber makes up a lot of our contract furniture, from chairs and tables to fixed banquette seating. It’s essential to One Contracts that we use sustainably-sourced timber from reliable, FSC approved suppliers.
Depending on availability, we’re proud to source reclaimed timber for our furnishings, which is not only sustainable, but looks great too.
SUSTAINABLE STAINS & LACQUERS
Our bespoke furnishings are finished with environmentally friendly stains, lacquers and paints that we can formulate to match to your branding flawlessly, without compromising on design.
FABRICS & LEATHERS
From natural materials such as cotton, silk, leather and wool to recycled polyester and faux leather, we work with a selection of sustainable fabric suppliers to offer bespoke upholstered furniture.
We catalogue excess material that’s left over from previous projects, so that our skilled upholsterers can use off-cuts in new bespoke contract furniture. This means we’re able to reduce waste-to-landfill and provide lower-cost sustainable furniture for our clients.
